THE NEW CREATION WAS NOT “REDEEMED” - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME

September 05, 2017

Blessed be the Lord God of Israel; for he hath visited and redeemed his people

(Luke 1:68).

It’s clear those to whom the verse above refers: the Jews; they were the ones that needed to be redeemed, because they were under the curse of the law. Galatians 3:13 says, _*“Christ hath redeemed US from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree.”*_ Some Christians quote this scripture, assuming it to be applicable to everyone, whereas it applies only to the Jews. Paul was speaking generically as a Jew.

The Gentiles weren’t redeemed from the curse of the Law; they were redeemed from the condemnation of the Law. The very presence of the Law was the condemnation of the Gentiles. When God chose the Jews to be His people, and gave them righteous laws to live by, that immediately condemned the Gentiles. That’s why in Ephesians 2:12, the Gentiles are described as _*“…aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world.”*_

However, in Christ Jesus, both the Jews and the Gentiles have been brought together to make one new man that’s neither a Jew nor a Gentile; that’s the new creation: _*“For he is our peace, who hath made both one*_ (the Jews and the Gentiles) _*and hath broken down the middle wall of partition…”*_ (Ephesians 2:14).

This new creation wasn’t redeemed from the curse of the Law, because he was never under the curse of the Law; he’s a brand new man that never existed before: _*“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new”*_ (2 Corinthians 5:17).

Your life transcends this earthly realm; it’s the life of Christ. You don’t have a past to be “redeemed” or delivered from, for your old nature was crucified with Christ, and now, you’ve been raised to a newness of life. Walk in this consciousness.

CONFESSION

I’m a new creation in Christ Jesus, born with the life and nature of God! I’m a brand new man that never existed before, living the supernatural life naturally, and flying high on the wings of the Spirit. I’m prosperous, healthy, and strong, making impact with the Gospel, by the Holy Spirit. Glory to God!

FURTHER STUDY:

*|| 2 Corinthians 5:17-21* Therefore if any man [be] in Christ, [he is] a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 18 And all things [are] of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; 19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. 20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech [you] by us: we pray [you] in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God. 21 For he hath made him [to be] sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. *||

Colossians 3:8-10 But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth. 9 Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; 10 And have put on the new [man], which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him: ||

Romans 6:4* Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. ||

NO NEED TO CRY - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY

TUESDAY 29TH, AUGUST 2017

NO NEED TO CRY

PASTOR CHRIS

According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue (2 Peter 1:3).

The Christian is born an heir of God, and a joint heir with Christ. It’s important therefore to know and discover the things that belong to you in Christ; otherwise, you could live a sad and sorry life, instead of the transcendent life He’s given us.
Many wallow in pain and penury, crying every day to God for help, simply because they’re ignorant of His Word. They don’t know, and therefore can’t take advantage of their rights and blessings in Christ.

A dear Christian lady told a story. She had been chronically sick in the hospital, and given up to die. In her frustration, she said, “I cried every day to God, hoping He’d hear my cries and do something about my situation.” Then she got a hold of our teachings, and the messages stirred faith in her spirit. She learnt that Jesus came that we might have and enjoy life to the full; no need to cry and beg God for anything. The sacrifice of Jesus Christ on our behalf has put an end to all of man’s suffering and pain.

Hitherto, she’d been crying and praying, hoping that God would hear her, but when she received the Word and acted on it, she arose, healed by God’s power.
There’s no need to cry anymore! If you choose, you can have a wonderful life. You can walk in the glory of God every day. This is the life of the Christian, provided by the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Your role is to know the Word for yourself; the Bible says through knowledge shall the just be delivered into their inheritance (Proverbs 11:9).

PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for the gift of your Son Jesus, who died and was raised back to life for my justification, that I may live a glorified life. I walk in the light of my victory and righteousness in Christ, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

THE CONSCIOUSNESS OF THE INDWELLING CHRIST - Pastor Chris Oyakhilome

August 18, 2017

That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith… (Ephesians 3:17).

God wants you to have the consciousness that Christ lives in you. This consciousness will cause you to live supernaturally every day. You’ll no longer have fears or confusion in your life; you’ll no longer think that you’re limited, because you know that Christ in you is everything: It means glory realized, victory assured, success attained, and prosperity guaranteed.

When you have the Christ consciousness, you’ll be a master over circumstances. You’ll have no sense of lack or need, because to have Christ is to have everything. The whole world is yours. The Apostle Paul, mindful of this, affirmed in 1 Corinthians 3:21, “Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours.”

Paul’s consciousness of the indwelling Christ stood him out as an effective apostle of Jesus Christ. In Philippians 4:13, he said, “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” In Colossians 1:29, he said, “Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily.” You can do anything, be anything, prosper and excel exceedingly in every good work; it’s about your consciousness of the indwelling Christ!

Have you come to know that Christ literally lives in you? He dwells in your heart by faith, which means you don’t have to “feel” that Christ is in you; it has nothing to do with your feelings, because you live beyond the senses. For example, 1 John 4:4 says, “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” You ought, therefore, to have the consciousness that, come what may, you can never be defeated! You’re a victor and a champion, irrespective of the tests, trials or challenges that may come against you.

Nothing can overwhelm you or put you down, because Christ, the greater One, lives in you. Have this consciousness.

*PRAYER*

Christ is alive in me-in every fibre of my being, every bone of my body, and every cell of my blood. I’m living the supernatural life, naturally, because Christ is in me. I have no sense of lack or want, because the One who created all things, and in whom all things consist, is in me, and I reign in, with, and through Him, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

TOUGH ON THE INSIDE - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME

August 17, 2017

For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man (Ephesians 3:14-16).

Once, I was talking to someone who said to me, “I think I’m weak inside.” The reason he thought so was because he realized that in many things in life, he lacked convictions. He didn’t seem to have the will or courage to stand for anything. When he didn’t like something, he couldn’t resist it, because he had inner fears. But when you know the Holy Spirit, things are different; you’re tough on the inside.

Our opening text is the Spirit’s prayer through Paul for the Church at Ephesus. He prayed that they’d be strengthened with might by the Holy Spirit in their innermost being; He wanted them to have inner strength, because not many are strengthened from within. The same prayer is a great blessing for us today, since it’s the will of God. God wants you to be strengthened with might by the Holy Spirit in your inner man.

You don’t have to pray again that He should strengthen you, or complain about lack of strength; rather, respond to His Word by declaring that you’re strengthened from within! If you’ve been unable to make serious decisions in life, because of fear and timidity, this is what you need. Stand in front of the mirror, point to the image on the other side and say, “You’re tough inside! You’re courageous, bold and sound! You’re invigorated with miracle-working ability in your inner man.”

Refuse to allow anyone describe you as weak or feeble. Your strength isn’t of this world; it’s from the Spirit who lives in you. Therefore, you’re up to any task; you’re bold and strong inside, because the greater One lives in you.

*PRAYER*

*Dear Father, I thank you for you’ve strengthened me from within; therefore, every form of weakness and fear is gone from me. I’m strengthened with the strength of God, and with joy, I draw water from the wells of salvation, because the joy of the Lord is my strength. Amen.*

*FURTHER STUDY:* *||* *Colossians 1:9-11* For this cause we also, since the day we heard [it], do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; 10 That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; 11 Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness; *||*

*||* *2 Corinthians 4:16* For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward [man] is renewed day by day. *||*

WE WIN ALL THE TIME - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME

August 16, 2017

...but in all these things we are more than winners by the one who loved us (Romans 8:37).

In Christ, you have been established to prosper, succeed and triumph all the time. We are supremely and transcendentalement blessed in Christ. We win all the time, despite the circumstances and situations in which we are.

Some people believe that a triumphant and triumphant life is unrealistic; so they live with the idea that ” sometimes we win and sometimes we lose.” it is not for God’s child. God’s blessing for each of us, no matter the challenges, is that you are more than the winner. This reminds me of an old song in which the composer says: ” God never said there will be no rain; he never said there will be no sunshine, but he always promised us a heart full De singing. ” in other words, no matter what happens, you are victorious forever.

Read what the spirit says through the Apostle Paul about this; it is so uplifting. He says, ” who will separate us from Christ’s love? Would it be la, or anguish, or persecution, or

Hunger, or nudity, or peril, or sword? As it says: it is because of you that we are put to death all day, that they are looked at as sheep for slaughter. But in all these
Things, we are more than winners by the
Who a US ‘ (Romans 8:35-37). We are not in darkness.
We are not at the mercy of Satan or difficulties in today’s world. In the midst of darkness, chaos, des of life, your victory is an established fact. 1 John 4:4 says ” you, little children, you are from God, and you defeated them, because he who Is in you is bigger than the one in the world.” it’s a current reality.
You are not without defence; you are not in this fight alone. The Lord himself said, ” if you go through the waters, I will be with you; and the rivers, they will not drown you; if you walk in the fire, you will not burn yourself, and the flame will not burn you (Isaiah 43:2) blessed be God! Be confident and reassured of your victory and a glorious life every day, because Christ is in you (Colossiens 1:27). This is your assurance to win every day. Hallelujah!

* PRAYER *
Dear Heavenly Father, I thank you for the life I have in Christ-a life of victory, progress and
Success every day. I prosper and excel in all things while i meditate on the word, and act accordingly. I always win, because Christ has been made for me wisdom, and this wisdom which is my incomparable advantage, is powerfully at work in me, in the name of Jesus. Amen

SPREAD IT AROUND - Pastor Chris Oyakhilome

June 30, 2016
(Through Your Giving, You Can Spread The Gospel)
TO THE BIBLE; 2 Corinthians 9:8 AMP
“...And God is able to make all grace (every favor and earthly blessing) come to you in abundance, so that you may always and under all circumstances and whatever the need be self-sufficient [possessing enough to require no aid or support and furnished in abundance for every good work and charitable donation].”

LET'S TALK

Salvation came to you because someone somewhere was passionate about spreading the Good News around the world. That strong desire most certainly compelled them to give substantially of their resources in terms of energy, time, and money. They were enthusiastic about reaching others with the message of salvation. And today, God is counting on you to run with the same vision. He wants you to take His divine presence to the nations of the earth.

To achieve this, your financial commitment is so crucial. Giving financially towards the propagation of the Gospel is proof that you're aligned with God's vision for mankind, especially in these end times. The Bible says you've been blessed with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ (Ephesians 1:3). So God expects you to discover and take advantage of His abundant provisions for the spreading of the Gospel.
You must be determined to let your giving count in spreading the influence of the Kingdom! It doesn't matter how young you are. Start making a difference for God today. Have a plan for your giving, and do it wholeheartedly. It begins when you get some cash on the side; you can set aside a portion for the Gospel. It doesn't matter if you're starting with a small amount; just be consistent with your plan. It won't be long before the Lord begins to increase your ability to give more (2 Corinthians 9:6-11).

|| Genesis 8:22 “While the earth remains, Seedtime and harvest, Cold and heat, Winter and summer, And day and night Shall not cease.”

|| Matthew 14:15-21 When it was evening, His disciples came to Him, saying, “This is a deserted place, and the hour is already late. Send the multitudes away, that they may go into the villages and buy themselves food.” But Jesus said to them, “They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat.” And they said to Him, “We have here only five loaves and two fish.” He said, “Bring them here to Me.” Then He commanded the multitudes to sit down on the grass. And He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, He blessed and broke and gave the loaves to the disciples; and the disciples gave to the multitudes. So they all ate and were filled, and they took up twelve baskets full of the fragments that remained. Now those who had eaten were about five thousand men, besides women and children.

PRAY

Dear Lord, I thank you for making all grace abound towards me, so that I'm divinely enabled to give big towards Kingdom expansion! Thank you for multiplying my seeds sown. I'm a big time sponsor of the Gospel, and my capacity to give is increasing continually, in the Name of Jesus. Amen.

HEAR AND DO! - Pastor Chris Oyakhilome

June 02, 2016
HEAR AND DO!
(The Word Of God Is For Doing)

TO THE BIBLE; James 1:22 NASB
“...Prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves.”

LET’S TALK
As a young lad many years back, I remember being so moved by the many beautiful things I had read and heard about Jesus. Every day, I said, “Dear Lord Jesus, I can’t keep this to myself; I’ve got to tell the whole world!” This burden spurred me on to house-to-house and street evangelism. I preached in schools, hospitals, villages...everywhere, because I felt the whole world had to hear the good news of God’s love.

Some people travel halfway around the world to attend great Word conventions and seminars, and come back home and do nothing with what they hear. That doesn’t show wisdom. True wisdom isn’t in just hearing or knowing what’s right; it’s actually knowing what’s right and doing it. According to the scriptures, to know what’s right and not do it is sin (James 4:17).

Don’t be the one who pushes the Word aside, saying, “I’ve heard that before,” or “I’ve read that before.” Do something with what you read or heard. Do something with the Word you receive during church services, or in your times of personal study. The Bible talks about having the wisdom of the righteous (Luke 1:17), which is the wisdom that hears to do. So, consciously put to practice the glorious things you’ve learnt from God’s Word, and watch your life grow from one level of glory to another. Be a doer of the Word and not a hearer only.

GO DEEPER
|| James 1:22-25 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. But he who looks into the perfect

law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.

||James 4:17 Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin.

PRAY
Dear heavenly Father, thank you for teaching me your Word and giving me the ability and inspiration to do what it says. I refuse to be a mere hearer, but a prompt doer of your Word. I put your Word to practice in my dealings and relationships today, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

EMBRACE GOD’S RIGHTEOUSNESS - Pastor Chris Oyakhilome

June 01, 2016
EMBRACE GOD’S RIGHTEOUSNESS (True Righteousness Is From The Lord)

TO THE BIBLE; Romans 10:3-4 NIV
“Since they did not know the righteousness that comes from God and sought to establish their own, they did not submit to God’s righteousness. Christ is the end of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes.”

LET’S TALK

Righteousness isn’t something you achieve by the things you do or don’t do; it’s a gift you receive freely from God when you’re born again. He justifies you and declares you “not guilty” of all wrongs the moment you come into Christ Jesus (Romans 3:24). Paul talked about this righteousness in Philippians 3:9: “…That I may [actually] be found and known as in Him, not having any [self-achieved] righteousness that can be called my own, based on my obedience to the Law’s demands (ritualistic uprightness and supposed right standing with God thus acquired), but possessing that [genuine righteousness] which comes through faith in Christ (the Anointed One), the [truly] right standing with God, which comes from God by [saving] faith” (AMP).

You see, this righteousness from the Lord comes by faith in Jesus Christ, and when you’re conscious of it you can cast out devils with ease. All you need to say is, “I’m the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus! Devil, get out of here, in Jesus’ Name!” However, if you’re ignorant of this truth, the devil can deceive you, and even go as far as threatening you, because you don’t know who you are. So what? Know who you are and what you have; you’re the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus!
Your human perfections and righteousnesses are as filthy rags before God (Isaiah 64:6); so just embrace His righteousness. Jesus paid fully for you to have it, and with it you rule and reign in this life (Romans 5:17).
GO DEEPER
|| Isaiah 54:17 No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, And their righteousness is from Me,”
Says the LORD.

|| Ephesians 2:4-7 But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.
|| Titus 3:4-7 But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

PRAY
Dear Father, I’m confident in Jesus’ sacrifice on my behalf, by which I’ve been made righteous. Now, I can stand boldly before you, in love and fellowship, without guilt, condemnation, or inferiority! By abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness that I’ve received, I rule and reign over the devil and circumstances, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome TAKE CHARGE

May 31, 2016
TAKE CHARGE
(Control The Circumstances Of Your Life)

TO THE BIBLE; 1 John 5:4
“For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.”

LET’S TALK

When you study Jesus and the way He responded to different circumstances, you’ll discover He was always in charge. His language was that of faith and absolute mastery. He was always in control, unperturbed by anything. His words were faith-filled, and He displayed an attitude of rest in the midst of turmoil. This is the life He’s given us; a life of absolute mastery, where you cease from all worries and express your faith unperturbed.

Even when He was told His friend Lazarus had been dead and buried four days, Jesus remained unruffled. Instead, with all calmness and assurance, He told Mary and Martha, Lazarus’ sisters: “…I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live” (John 11:25). Nothing could shake Him; He was the picture of supreme confidence! He stood at the entrance of the sepulchre, uttered a simple prayer of thanks to the Father, and called out: “Lazarus, come out!” The man that had been dead for four days came hopping out of the grave alive! (John 11:41-44).

That was faith functioning from a place of rest and absolute mastery. Faith recognises no fear, because it trusts in the ability of God. When you’re faced with challenges, don’t cower or become frightful or fretful. Be in charge, irrespective of what happens around you. If you receive negative news from afar, maintain your composure and declare God’s Word. Take charge. Refuse to worry; just give the Word and effect a change. Hallelujah!

GO DEEPER
|| Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

PRAY
Dear heavenly Father, I thank you for the power of your Word which causes me to function from a place of rest and mastery over all situations. I live victoriously over all distracting elements of this world in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

He Came To Do Much More - Pastor Chris Oyakhilome

April 15, 2016

In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will (Ephesians 1:11).

There’s a way some people think about Jesus and the Gospel that’s inconsistent with the real purpose for which Jesus came into this world. For some, He came to save us from sin. But that’s not the reason He came. Yes, He saved us from sin, but He came for much more than that.
To some others, all they know is that He came to "deliver" us from Satan and the forces of darkness. Again, that’s not the reason He came. How could He have come, lived and died, just to save us from sin and the devil? He came to do much more. Yes, He saved us from sin. Yes, He delivered us from the devil, and the wickedness that’s in the world, but all that were a means to an end. The Bible says, "And He brought us out from there, that He might bring us in to give us the land which He swore to give our fathers" (Deuteronomy 6:23 AMP).
In the foregoing scripture, there’re three important points to note. First, is that "He brought us out"; second, is the reason He brought us out—it’s so that He might "bring us in." The third is the ultimate purpose, which is "to give us the land." The whole idea wasn’t about bringing us out. He saved us, not so we could flee from the devil, but for a purpose—to bring us into something—our place in Christ; our inheritance in Him.
In Acts 26:18, Paul the Apostle narrated how the Lord Jesus sent him to the Gentiles, "To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance…." When you come to Christ, you not only receive remission or the removal of sin, you receive an inheritance: "In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will" (Ephesians 1:11).
No Christian ought to be broke or poor. The Bible says we’re joint-heirs with Christ (Romans 8:17). A Christian may call himself poor, and may go without, but that doesn’t make him poor; he’s only ignorant of what belongs to him. God’s plan is to make you and Christ one; that’s His purpose, and He’s already done it.
Confession
Jesus came that I might have life, and have it to the full. Now, I’m a partaker of the God-life! Blessed be God! My life is the expression and demonstration of God’s glory and righteousness, the testimony of His grace and love, and the revelation of His perfection. Hallelujah!

Be Honourable - Pastor Chris Oyakhilome

April 13, 2016

The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again: but the righteous sheweth mercy, and giveth (Psalm 37:21).

Someone once asked, "Does God bless borrowed money, including borrowed money given to Him as offerings and seed?"
There’s nothing wrong if you borrow money, but make sure you pay back; otherwise, God doesn’t like it. The Bible says, "The wicked borroweth and payeth not again." God describes the one who doesn’t pay his or her debt as wicked. God wants you to serve Him with wholehearted devotion, and willingness of mind, but at the same time, with honesty. Your integrity should be impeccable.
There’re people who don’t have credibility, and don’t care about their integrity. When they owe, they refuse to pay, and start praying for debt cancellation. Others deliberately stay away or hide from their creditors. This is wrong; it’s the way of the wicked. The word "wicked" in our opening verse describes one whose ways are perverse; someone who isn’t walking in the light of God; and that shouldn’t be you. If you owe any debt, don’t let it linger; pay promptly.
Most people who don’t pay back when they borrow, lack integrity, and as a result, they delay their own blessing. If you’re an employer, don’t owe your employees their salaries. When people work for you, don’t delay their payments. We’ve been called to live a higher life. We’re the light of the world. Let the character of Christ be expressed through you always, and in all things.
Prayer
Dear Father, I rejoice greatly, because I know that you care for me, and all of my needs have been entered into your supply system. I don’t lack any good thing, and I owe no one, for I’m abundantly supplied; I’m prosperous, and in all circumstances, self-sufficient, requiring no aid or support. Thank you Father, for all things are mine, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Establish His Word In Your Life - Pastor Chris Oyakhilome

April 12, 2016

In the first year of his reign I Daniel understood by books the number of the years, whereof the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah the prophet, that he would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem. And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes (Daniel 9:2-3).

In the scripture above, Daniel was praying about the deliverance of Israel. He had read in the book of Jeremiah that their deliverance would come after seventy years in exile, and as he studied, he realized that that time had come. Even though it was time for the children of Israel to be free from their many years of captivity, Daniel knew he still had to pray.
As Daniel prayed, God sent Angel Michael to bring down Persia. Persia had to fall before the children of Israel could be free from captivity. Daniel didn’t take chances; he said, "I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes" (Daniel 9:3).
He could have said, "Since God said His children would be free after seventy years of captivity, I don’t need to bother; I’ll wait on Him to do as He had said." No; Daniel was smarter than that! He didn’t only pray to God, he included fasting as well. He was determined to see to it that the prophetic utterance of God came to pass. How inspiring!
This should let you know that just because God says something will happen in your life doesn’t mean it’ll happen, if you don’t do something about it. You have to establish His Word in your life; you have to act on His Word. What prophecies or words of the Spirit have you received concerning your health, business, academics, finances, family, job, or future? Don’t just sit idly by and say, "If God says it’ll happen, it’ll happen." It doesn’t work that way. You have a role to play in bringing to fruition His Word concerning you.
Psalm 119:89 tells us that God’s Word is forever settled in heaven; however, it’s your responsibility to settle or establish the Word in your own life by acting on it, doing what it says. Act on the knowledge of God’s Word that has come to you, and your faith will prevail.
Prayer
Dear Father, I thank you for the wisdom to act on your Word always, and follow the guidance and promptings of the Spirit! Through your Word, I have increased wisdom, and spiritual understanding, knowing and walking in your perfect will at all times. I live a prosperous, healthy, and vibrant life in Christ, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Keep Making Progress - Pastor Chris Oyakhilome

April 11, 2016

The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit (John 3:8).

When you’re born again, you’re a mystery to the world, because you’re born of the Spirit. The Natural man can’t understand you. By the Spirit, David said, "I am as a wonder unto many…" (Psalm 71:7). That’s what God has made everyone that’s born of the Spirit. However, some Christians don’t know this; so, they live ordinary lives. You’re not ordinary; you’re not of this world. You belong in, and function from, a different realm: the realm of the Spirit.
The Lord Jesus, in our opening text said, "The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit." In other words, those who are born again live by the Spirit. And the Spirit, like the wind, is always moving. Jesus didn’t tell us that the Spirit is like air; He said it’s like the wind. Wind is moving air. So the Spirit, like the wind, can’t be conditioned in one place. Wind is air in motion.
In the same vein, when you’re born again, born of the Spirit, you’re a spirit in motion. Hallelujah! There’re people who have been in one spot for a long time; they’ve not made any progress in life; everything seems stagnant. That’s not for the one who’s born again and filled with the Holy Spirit; he’s always in motion: upward and forward; no stagnation. That’s my life. I’m always moving, always making progress.
That should be your experience. Never allow stagnation in any area of your life. When someone asks, "How are you doing?" you ought to say, "I’m excellent and full of glory; I’m making progress with giant strides!" Glory to God!
Confession
I’m growing stronger by the day, like a cedar in Lebanon, and flourishing like the palm tree! I move in the Spirit, and of my increase, progress, and prosperity, there shall be no end! I live the transcendent life of endless possibilities and victories unlimited! Glory to God!

He’s Our Mercy Seat - Pastor Chris Oyakhilome

April 08, 2016

Being justified (declared righteous) freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God (Romans 3:24-25).

Due to Adam’s transgression, man was separated from God. Romans 3:23 says, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." Sadly, many have only stayed on the negative part of this scripture, without taking a step further. The twenty-fourth and twenty-fifth verses have so much faith-building thoughts. Yes, all men sinned in Adam, and fell short of the glory of God, but the problem was fixed in, and by, Jesus Christ.
We’ve been justified, declared righteous freely, by the grace of God through the redemption that’s in Christ Jesus. In our opening scripture, the Greek word translated "propitiation" is "hilastērion," and it means the place of mercy, or "Mercy Seat." In the Old Testament, the Mercy Seat was the covering of the ark of God. God met there with the priests, and His presence was on the Mercy Seat. It was the place where the blood of sacrifice was sprinkled in the presence of God; a place for atonement of sins (Leviticus 16:15-16).
In the New Testament, God presented Christ as a propitiation or "Mercy Seat." 1 John 4:10 says, "Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins." Jesus Christ is the covering of the ark; He is God’s place of mercy for us. So, just as the Mercy Seat was the place for atonement of sins in the Old Testament, today, the Lord Jesus Himself is the propitiation and atonement for the sins of the world.
God, in His righteousness, in His equity, has completely removed our sins as though they never existed; He did this in Christ Jesus! This is available to every man in Christ Jesus; Christ is your Mercy Seat. We’re no longer short of His glory, because He (Christ Jesus) was wounded for our transgressions; the predicament was fixed in Jesus. He made it possible, by His death, burial and glorious resurrection for us to have eternal life, and live righteously unto God. Blessed be His Name forever!
Prayer
Dear Father, I thank you for lavishly pouring out your love on me, demonstrating that I’m worth the life of your Son, Jesus. His blood was shed on the cross for the remission of sins, and now, I walk in your righteousness. I’m compelled by love to turn others from sin unto righteousness, and from the power of Satan unto God, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Words From The Father - Pastor Chris Oyakhilome

April 06, 2016

It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life (John 6:63).

The Lord Jesus was a master of words; He had, and spoke, wisdom all the time. He was wisdom personified. He knew exactly the right words to say in every situation, to everyone, and concerning everything. His words were filled with inspiration, healing, comfort, hope, love, and power. He had words for everything. Imagine what transpired in Luke 7:11-17. He was on a journey to the city of Nain, and as He arrived at the gate of the City, He saw a funeral procession of a young man, who happened to be the only son of a widow. Moved with compassion, He touched the casket and said, "…Young man, I say unto thee, Arise. And he that was dead sat up, and began to speak. And he delivered him to his mother" (Luke 7:13-15). He raised the dead body of that young man back to life with words!
Once, His disciples were startled amidst a raging tempest. Terrified, they cried out to Him, "…Master, carest thou not that we perish?" (Mark 4:38). What He did was remarkable: "…he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm" (Mark 4:39). It made no difference how turbulent or tempestuous the weather was, Jesus hushed it with words—the same way He healed and restored sight to blind eyes, hearing to deaf ears, and vitality to maimed limbs.
However, He reveals to us an important truth: the words He spoke came from the Father. He said in John 12:50, "…whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak." It’s the same with us today. The Father has given us words to speak; we don’t, and shouldn’t, speak our own words, or words that we learnt from our neighbours or environment! We learn words from the Word of God; we get our spiritual vocabulary from the Word of God. That’s why you have to keep studying the Scriptures (2 Timothy 2:15).
The result is that you’ll think and talk like Jesus, and have His kind of extraordinary results! You’ll become a master of words, speaking wisdom all the time.
Confession
My words are spirit, and life, infused with power and divine energy to prevail over circumstances. The words of Christ dwell in me richly, in all wisdom; therefore, my words are filled with inspiration, healing, comfort, hope, love, and power, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Empowered To Prosper · Pastor Chris Oyakhilome

April 04, 2016
Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you (John 15:16).
Psalm 1:3 reveals something phenomenal about you, and the life of extraordinary prosperity God has called you to. It says, "And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper." This should let you know that your prosperity isn’t dependent on the economics and economies of this world. The people of the world spend time looking for the moving or "booming" business or trade to invest in. That shouldn’t be your thinking, as the seed of Abraham. Think from a higher level.
Notice again the words of the Spirit in Psalm 1:3: "…and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper." He didn’t say you’ll prosper if the business is what’s trending or booming. The emphasis is "whatsoever"; in other words, there’s an empowerment in your life to cause you to prosper in all things.
In the Old Testament, Moses spoke to the children of Israel, and gave them God’s promises. Imagine what he said God would do for them: "And he will love thee, and bless thee, and multiply thee: he will also bless the fruit of thy womb, and the fruit of thy land, thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep, in the land which he sware unto thy fathers to give thee" (Deuteronomy 7:13). Think about that! Everything that had to do with them was blessed. As long as it was connected to them, it prospered.
Now, in the New Testament, we have a better covenant, established upon better promises: "But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises" (Hebrews 8:6). Therefore, anything you’re involved in should, of necessity, prosper; anything! The important factor isn’t what’s trending; the important factor is you. If you’re in it, then it’s blessed. Hallelujah!
Prayer
Dear heavenly Father, I thank you for the inherent ability in me to prosper in all that I do. As the seed of Abraham, everything that’s connected to me is blessed—my finances, business, job, family, etc. I walk in the consciousness that I’m blessed to be a blessing, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Constantly Affirm His Word · Pastor Chris Oyakhilome

April 02, 2016
This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men (Titus 3:8).
The Christian walk is that of continual affirmation of the Word. Jesus said, "For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak" (John 12:49). Thus, what you re-echo must be the Father’s words. The Father’s words are words of the Kingdom; words of life.
When we say we have the God-life in us, or talk about being born again, or the new creation life, these aren’t religious clichés derived from philosophy. These are expressions of the Word. In Christianity, we affirm the Word; we confess the Word. Whatever we say or speak should, and must always, be in conformity with the Word of God.
Constantly affirm that you’re a new creation in Christ Jesus, infused with the life of God, not vulnerable to the crippling influences of this world! Affirm that the life of God is at work in your spirit, soul, and body. Affirm that the same Spirit that raised up Jesus from the dead vitalizes your body and invigorates you through and through, always!
Never say, "I’m sick," or "I have a headache," because sickness doesn’t belong in the Kingdom of God; it never comes from the Father. So, don’t affirm it. Don’t affirm poverty, weakness, lack, or fear. Declare that you’re bold, strong, and courageous. 2 Timothy 1:7 says, "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." This is what you affirm. Make bold confessions that you’ve been imbued with divine life and ability in Christ.
Hebrews 10:23 says, "Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised)." Hold fast your confession of divine health, prosperity, progress, and victories. Keep saying it; don’t stop talking it. Affirm what Christ has done for you, made you, and declared about you!
Prayer
Dear heavenly Father, I thank you for giving me your Word to live by. I affirm the Lordship, majesty, honour and glory of Christ over everything that concerns me: my health, academics, family, finances, and ministry. Therefore, I experience continuous victories, absolute peace, joy, prosperity, and divine health, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Speak Blessings To Everything Around You - Pastor Chris Oyakhilome

March 31, 2016

And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature (Mark 16:15).

God wants us to take His Word to the nations, and that means a lot. But you see, when He said to preach the Gospel to every creature, He wasn’t only referring to preaching to someone who doesn’t know Jesus. Preaching the Gospel to every creature means preaching to EVERYTHING that exists! Romans 8:19 says, "For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God."
The term "creature" actually means "creation." So, it’s saying, "The earnest expectation of the creation waits for the manifestation of the sons of God." There’s depreciation in the human world, including human life; and so, everything in life is waiting for your manifestation; waiting for you to liberate them. All around the world, there’s fear. Many scientists provide evidence of ozone layer depletion. Global warming remains an issue of widespread political debate, with world leaders in dire need of a solution.
These things aren’t new; the scientists only just found out. The Bible already talked about them: The twentieth verse of Romans chapter eight says, "For the creature (creation) was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope." The creation was made subject to vanity; no wonder it’s in terrible depreciation, groaning in pain. And we’re the ones to bring that deliverance to all creation through the Gospel.
Revelation 21:5 says, "And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new…." The renewal has begun. Preach the Word to the things in your home and they’ll have new values. Speak the Word to your finances and they won’t depreciate. Proclaim the Word over your physical body and it’ll never be ravaged by sickness, disease, and infirmities. Speak blessings to things around you.
Use the Word to rule your world! In your home, school, or place of work, speak blessings. For your country, do the same; speak words of blessings, for the Bible says, "By the blessing of the upright the city is exalted…" (Proverbs 11:11).
Confession
I bring deliverance to every creation in my world, taking them out of bondage and corruption, into the glorious liberty of the sons of God. I give life to the things around me through the power of my words, for these are the days of the manifestation of the sons of God. Halleluiah!

Pray For Your Country ·- Pastor Chris Oyakhilome

March 30, 2016
I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty (1 Timothy 2:1-2).
As a Christian, it’s important to pray always for your country and the leaders; be it your country of residence or earthly nationality. Some people don’t know this: many a time, there’s a strong spiritual conflict for the soul of nations. In the days of Daniel, an angel had to fight the Prince of Persia (Daniel 10:10-13). Such spiritual conflicts still happen today, over countries of the world. There’re forces fighting for the destruction and impoverishment of nations. But there’re also angels, sent by God for the protection and prosperity of those nations.
There’re very difficult days ahead, for many nations of the world. But the Lord wants His people prepared and ready. As we pray, angels sent by God are able to fulfil their assignments in the nations of the world. So, in your privacy, take time to pray for your country. Pray for the President or the Prime Minister and leaders of your country.
As we pray, we mount pressure in the realm of the spirit against the forces of darkness, and prevail against them. Consequently, God’s purpose for those nations is fulfilled. It’s been said that evil prevail when good men do nothing. So, keep praying for your country, that the Word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified (2 Thessalonians 3:1). Our prayers for the nations enable the Gospel to spread unhindered. And when the Word of God saturates your nation, evil can’t prevail.
Our opening verse says we should pray "For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty." When the Bible talks about "peace" here, it means a state of rest, where everything is flourishing and in the right direction. This is the life God expects us to live; and our prayer brings it into reality. Glory to God!
Prayer
Dear Father, I pray for my country today, that wisdom and understanding is imparted to the leaders, to help them make the right decisions for the benefit of the people, and the spread of the Gospel, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

You Have a Role to Play - Pastor Chris Oyakhilome

March 29, 2016
This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success (Joshua 1:8).
In life, people may find themselves in certain circumstances they weren’t responsible for. Yes, others can create situations or circumstances—pleasant or unpleasant—for you, but ultimately, you have a role to play in determining the final outcome of your life.
The circumstances of your birth may not have been so palatable. You may have been born into a poor home; and you had nothing to do with that. That was another person’s responsibility. But don’t maintain the status quo, because someone else was responsible; change things! You may have been born poor, but you weren’t born to be poor.
If you were attending a particular school, and for some reason the school closed up, are you going to say, "Well, there’s no need for me to go to school anymore?" No, you’d go to another school, or read at home and enroll for your exams. So, always, there’s something you can do for yourself. God needs your action. He needs your response. No Christian is ever disadvantaged in life. You can be a success in life.
In our opening verse, God tells us how to become a success; it’s by meditating on the Word day and night. Practise this. As much as He wants you prosperous, healthy, happy, strong and vibrant, you have a vital role to play in making His dream for you come to reality. Irrespective of the circumstances or the things you’ve been through in life, the onus is on you to be triumphant.
As a child of God, you’re not helpless. You have the Holy Spirit, and He’s your unparalleled advantage. You can do anything, be as successful as you want to be, and be a great blessing to your world. Yes, you can! God is waiting for you to take the action. Take a hold of His Word, and let His glory, grace, and excellence, be expressed through you.
Prayer
Dear Father, your Word is in my heart and in my mouth, even the Word of faith, which I’ve believed. I stand firmly on your Word, and with it, I subdue circumstances! I reign victoriously in life, expressing your glory, excellence, righteousness, and grace, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
