Authority is useless when it is not exercised! God has given us so much power and authority over the devil, but we must put it to use or else we remain like sleeping Giants. Imagine a traffic warden dressed in his uniform, but sitting at a high traffic junction snacking on junk and there's so much commotion on the road; he has the ability to put things in order, but he's not using the authority he has. The moment he gets up, gets to the middle of the road, without so much effort and no force, commuters respect the authority his uniform carries and order is restored. Same for many of us Christians, we have received a life that gives us so much authority over the things we are afraid of, but we fail to exercise it! Wake up from your slumber and exercise the authority your brand new life has given you. Right where you are, take Authority over the devil and his demons concerning your life, your children, your business or job, your health and all that concerns you. Open your mouth and speak with Authority. Agree with what the blood of Jesus says concerning you. James 4:7 (MSG) says yell a loud "No" to the devil and watch him scamper. You have been deputized by our Lord Jesus. It is time to take authority.
