No one can do anything to us that God doesn’t allow. Every trial has to get past God’s desk before it can be initiated. As we mature in the things of God, one of the first lessons we learn is nothing is as it seems. Few things are for the purpose we thought they were. God planted the dream in Joseph’s heart about his brothers bowing before him. Joseph didn’t really know what it meant or what would happen. In fact, he may have looked forward to it’s unfolding because of his desire to be respected, loved, and accepted by his siblings. But God had a greater purpose. He was going to save a nation!
As we lay our dreams at the feet of Jesus and allow Him to breathe on them, we gain clarity and the motivations of our hearts are rearranged. Our passion needs to align with God’s before our dreams can unfold in the greatness God intends. And yes, it is all good. The waiting will be worth it when the dream unfolds, and the tests will transform into testimonies that give glory to God.
