DUPLICATE - Dag Heward-Mills

READ: Numbers 11:16-25
And the Lord ... gave the seventy elders the same Spirit that was upon Moses. And when the Spirit rested upon them, they prophesied.
Numbers 11:25, NLT

Copying is the art of following a pattern or model until you have reproduced a good imitation of the original.  Copying may be a bad word to you, but copying is only bad when it is illegally done during examinations.  Copying is the highest form of learning and is the Godgiven method of learning which babies and children use.
“Be an original,” they say .  But the reality is that everyone copied from someone else.  Every great man of God is a copy of some other man of God somewhere.  Every anointing is a copy of another anointing.  The anointing that came on Peter, James and John was simply a copy of the anointing that was on Jesus their master.  The anointing that was on Elisha was simply another of the same kind of what was on Elijah.
Recently , one of my pastors asked a famous Christian singer this question, “Who has influenced your music ministry?”
He answered, “Oh, Andre Crouch has been my greatest inspiration.”
I immediately understood why this fellow was doing so well. He was simply a copy of someone else.  He was proud to be another of the same kind.
Those who do well in any field, are those who closely follow after someone of the same kind.  Be it preaching, singing, healing, pastoring; the principle is the same.  God is producing many ministers of the same kind.  There is no shame in copying from someone who has experienced what you need.
