We raise up children in the best way possible, so that when they grow up, we can have peace.

 

Parents can be likened to care-takers; they have been given the privilege and opportunity to partner with God. As care-takers, we are to find out the purpose for which the owner (God) has created them, and follow the blue print.

Children are one of our greatest investments; there is nothing you invent into a child that is a loss. Return for any investment into a child is guaranteed. However, this is not to encourage parents to invest only because they expect them to provide for them in their old age. We raise up children so that when they grow up, we can have peace; it’s an additional blessing when they return to make sure their parents lack nothing.

  Children are like arrows (in this current day, like bullets in the hands of a sniper). Arrows don’t shoot themselves, the archer has to be the one to pull and let go. For an arrow to go farther, it must first be pulled backwards. So do not feel bad when you have to discipline your child, you are ‘pulling’ to fire them forward. You only have control over your child when they are in your custody when you can ‘target’ them as best as you can; afterwards, you need to let go.

 

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

• Our children are protected from the evil of this generation; they will do well in life and be articulate in the name of Jesus.
• They shall be a constant source of joy; we will never sorrow over them, in Jesus’ name.
