THE RIGHT PERSPECTIVE - Michelle McKinney Hammond

Pharaoh said to Joseph, “I had a dream, and no one can interpret it. But I have heard it said of you that when you hear a dream you can interpret it.” “I cannot do it,” Joseph replied to Pharaoh, “but God will give Pharaoh the answer he desires.” - GENESIS 41:15-16
Trials have a way of putting everything in perspective and reminding us who really is in control. Left to our own devices, we fail miserably time after time. After all is said and done, we discover that no one can figure out our lives better than God. When we’ve exhausted all other avenues for relief, we go back to God. The key, of course, is to go to God first without going through the trauma of exhausting other resources.

Have you ever had a problem and called your friends—only to discover that not one of them was available to work through the issue with you? Finally you threw up your arms, sat down, got quiet, and waited for God to speak.
God doesn’t need to share the credit or glory with anyone else. He is in charge of everything. But before He trusts you with the blessing He has planned, He wants to know if He has your attention and your heart.
What threatens your allegiance to God? How can you keep Him first in your life?
PRAY THIS PRAYER WITH ME:
“Dear heavenly Father, help me keep my heart grounded in You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”
