THE KEEPER OF YOUR HEART - Michelle McKinney Hammond

Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life. - PROVERBS 4:23
Our hearts are our most precious commodity. We shouldn’t play with them or treat them carelessly. Our heart condition affects every area of our lives. No wonder God admonishes us to be careful!
No one will take better care of your heart than you because it is yours. So be careful where you place it and who you entrust it too. Careless people may play, manipulate, hurt, and exploit your heart, and you’ll be left to deal with the damage. If strangers are visiting my home, I don’t leave the items that are precious to me out in clear view to be touched or taken. I put them in a safe place. Keep your heart in a safe place too. Take the time to discover its value, and then discern who is worthy of knowing it. Your life depends on it.
How has past heartbreak impacted your life? In hindsight, what could you have done differently to ensure the safety of your heart?
PRAY THIS PRAYER WITH ME:
“Dear heavenly Father, You are my Rock, my strong Tower, my safe Hiding Place. I give You my heart. Help me keep watch over it. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”
