Gratitude should never stop as a feeling! You must express it. The bible teaches us in Hebrews 13:15 that we should offer up a sacrifice of praise continually, which is the fruit of our lips giving thanks to God! It is not yet a sacrifice of praise, until it is the fruit of your lips. So don't just stay there feeling thankful, Say it and mean it! Let God hear your Praise this afternoon! Make melody to His name, say sweet words to Him, give thanks to His Name!
