When setting your budget, monthly or weekly, whichever works for you, allocate some part of your income to knowledge and exposure. Knowledge affects your perspective, it affects your world view, your value and even your level of productivity. Seek to be versatile, know everything about your field and know something about every other thing. 
I always shared a story about a man who drove an expensive car, and the car packed up on the road, he found a mechanic, who just opened up the bonnet picked a stone from the road side and mildly hit something. The man then asked how much do I pay you, the mechanic responded 25, 500 Naira. The man exclaimed, just for hitting something in the engine? The mechanic then responded 500 for hitting, 25, 000 for knowing what to do.
Every area you want to see an improvement in, study books about it, find out what the bible says about it. Your life can be transformed just by getting knowledge! Go for knowledge!
